Ok I know there are posts all ocer the place for this and I just being slow but....

I want to clear the pre loaded sounds out of the internal memory of MPC 1000.

From what I can gather the way to go this is to save a programme with sample and save it to the internal memory. This then wipes all the pre-installed samples out.

Is this correct?

I have tried to do the above it but as the internal memory is absolutely full I can't save anything into the internal memory.

Obviously I am missing something fundamental (other than a brain) in order to get rid of them...

Please advise with simple instructions!!

Thanks.

OK - so I have heard of google before and I have tried to search for links to find the answer and I have followed the link that you so kindly supplied
but it doesn't tell and idiot like me in step by step simple language how to remove the pre installed stuf from the internal memory. In fact the only
thing I can find it that you can save a programme (ideally with one sample in) into the internal memory and this some how then overwrites all the
pre loaded samples. Unfortunately the internal memory internal memory is full so when I go to save anything it just says I can't as its already full.
Please advise.

then i don't know what to tell you........

I read through just the first few links on that google search link and i saw about three potential fixes or work arounds to curtail your issue. SURE they may not be the ABSOLUTE exact answer you are looking for, but nonetheless several answers/suggestions to address your issue and get you up and running...
