I'm a bit confused by the MFC42 having a mono in and a stereo in, rather than just two inputs that can be used as a stereo pair or two separate parallel mono channels.
What I want to do is put two separate sources through it (e.g. drums and bass), and have them come out of the outputs still completely separate so they can both go off to a mixer and be mixed (i.e. essentially two completely separate filters in one box - unlike a stereo filter like the Xone vf-1, where as I understand it you can get two separate channels but they will be processed identically by the one set of controls).
Am I right in thinking if I put the bass into the mono in and panned it hard right, and put the drums into the left input of the stereo in, I'd get just the bass coming out of the right output and just the drums coming out of the left?
Cheers,
Tom
