MIDI settings

ok newbee question....
MIDI connected to a Nord Lead 2x. When I change the sound program on the NORD, It also changes my sequence number on the MPC. For example, if i select nord program 89, it changes my mpc to sequence # 89 and I have to move it back to the sequence I want it to be on. Which setting disables this? thanks

I had trouble with this at first. My PDF manual for MPC 1000, page 49 is about recording a sample. I also was unable to find that heading anywhere in my manual but I did find what you were referring to on page 56 of the MPC 2500 user manual by searching the web. Thank you for your reply!

I downloaded "MPC1000 v2 Operator’s Manual rev 1.0" off Akaipro site, it's on page 49... or if you type the page number on the PDF page field, it's page 59 - page numbering starts form 11th page.
