input thru

hey guys. does the input thru stay active while changing songs? i'm just wondering if i can get away without having a mixer in my live setup.

for example, when one song ends on the 1000, i can mix in another drum machine via the 1000's input thru. then, while loading up another song on the 1000, the input thru stays active so you can still hear the other drum machine thru the 1000's inputs.

yes of course but keep in mind that you would definitly, IMHO, want them synced via MIDI. other wise wonky out of time drums, which is not good, right?? So when you stop song you stop drum machine. Best work around is make multiple songs in multiple sequences so you can go straight to other song without stoppping and loading

Yep, can be done on JJ OS2XL 2.21. Don't know about other OS's.

thanks for the response. no, no midi sync needed. there is tap tempo on the drum machine. and i'd like to not be restricted to making multiple songs in multiple sequences, which is why i'm wondering about the active states of the input thru's. thanks though!
