reinstalling AKAI OS...?

I want to reinstall the AKAI OS 2.13, this is the explanation from AKAI

How to update MPC1000
1. Insert a Compact Flash card with an OS (BIN) file on it into MPC1000
2. Turn the power on while pressing down the [WINDOW] button
3. Pressing the REC button the MPC1000 will start processing the update and the MPC1000 will then re-boot automatically with the new OS

now, I'm just going to do some testing, then reinstall OS2XL 2.18.

Is this the correct way to do it? JJ says the password won't get lost. Has anyone here performed this procedure before?

Off topic but but can you send me the event ezbus drivers for windows?I also own a ezbus and am trying

I only have the EZBUS driver that was on the CD. Is that what you need?

Yes it is. I bought my ezbus used and did not get the disk.I had downloaded the drivers from event but they no longer work, and event does not support ezbus anymore. Thanks TYPO
