Hey,

I'm thinking of getting an MPC1000 but not sure if it's the right thing for me. My current set up and way of working is as follows:

I have an old PC running Cubase sx, I use individual drum sounds from drum machines or chopped breakbeats and add them into Cubase as audio and arranged as whatever drum pattern I want. I then layer Rhodes/Hammond/Clavinet from my Nord Electro 3 and bass, lead and effects from my MiniMoog Voyager. These go into the PC through an Edirol UA-25 soundcard. I also use acappellas from vocalists. My finished tracks are then exported as WAV files.

I'm thinking of selling the PC/soundcard as it's unreliable, big etc and work with an MPC instead but need to be able to do the above.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can take care of all of that with the MPC1000 and JJ OS2xl. Check outhttp://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/ for the OS and all of it's info.

Also check out or sub-forum for the JJ OS, where even more answers can be found if you search around. http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewforum.php?f=25

I was a Cubase user who went back to the MPC when the 1000 came out. In all the years of both hardware and software, there's still nothing like firing up the MPC and the Evolver.
Takes me no time at all to get into my groove when it just works! 8)

Thats what I was hoping someone would say! So I can definitely get the sane results from the MPC without a soundcard and PC?! I need to be sure!
