Deleting Tracks

Im new to the MPC 1000 and have a whole bunch of old tracks im trying to get rid of so they will all be unused. I try pushing erase but that does not work. Im wondering how you can do this? Also An another question would be how do you make a new program?

highlight track name -> window -> delete.

i have the same problem.. ive erased all the tracks but the same bull shit ones come back on when i turn it back on
