how do i use mpc 1000 with m-audio keystation?

I have an m-audio keystation 61es I was hoping to use to play bass lines for my beats made with my mpc. However, I do not know how to use the two together. Can I just hook the two together to do what I want or do I have run either of the two through my laptop and a program like Garage Band or Ableton.

I would appreciate any help whatsoever.

It all depends where the Bassline is comin from.? Yr MPC, uh sound module, or using uh DAW as uh sound module? You just need uh Midi cable to connect the keyboard & MPC.
