step edit : inserting an event (manual page 36)

all this is on page 36 of the manual. to resume the procedure to insert an event in a track :
- select time position to insert
- press F5
- select "note" on the screen


so ok, i have been working with all samples placed in bank A, and only bank A.
i want to insert a note.

when i insert a note per the instructions to insert an event , it creates in the event list : a note labelled C 05 !!! why bank C ? since i am working with bank A, and why pad 5 ?

so this procedure does not allow to select an event before inserting, but by default inserts a C05 event. is there a way to
correct this ?
the manual seems here incorrect or incomplete.

you can hit record+stop and hit pad. that works. just do it at the time where you want it inserted. Or just change event after it is inserted. you can change it to another note.
