Been trying to use the patch Pharse feature on my 1000, Not realy getting it, can somebody give me some tips? Example say i find a good song i want to sample parts from, chop it then convert to a patch phrase, after that i hit a brick wall,

Thank you very much for your help.

yep PPs are for loops to automaticaly match bpm, if done correctly you can even change tempo in real time and pp will follow

Results in bad audio quality and stereo sample will be converted to mono.

depends on sample ad how its chopped ect. Autochop is more aplicable as opposed to straightchop. Also the Auto BPM wont be realy accurate either so dont rely on it.
get the real bpm chop it right and it works great. Newer Aksys can patchphrase stereo samples, but your better off gettin JJOS

Patch phrases aren't great for mixed material really. I am sure somebody has examples of using them in this manner, but as others have said, you're better off slicing them and assigning to pads, it'll make your music much more malleable.
