Pad Sensor and button repair in the UK?

Hey people,

looking at getting my old red and blue mpc1000 repaired and wonder if you can suggest somewhere in the UK that does this?

All the pads need replacing... And a few of the buttons need fixing

I've phoned akai and they have the pad sensor (about 25GBP) and tactile switches (about 1.50GBP) to fix my MPC1000.

Supposedly theres some soldering for the switches which i think i can handle.

Anybody had any experience with akais replacement?

Will the pads wear out quickly like they did before?

It would be cheaper than mailing something over from the US.
