Only 2 effects possible?

one thing i do is i use the effects on the mpc as a "brainstorm", then i run all my sounds from the mpc "dry" into an effects sampler or other outboard gear, then record either back into the mpc or into daw and trim start/end points. i rarely keep the effects from the mpc..personal preference though..
