i decided to try n buy the fat blck ones.... hope they re worth the money.

I bought the same black fat pads for my MPC. I was sort of surprised when I got them. They are not squishy fat. They are hard fat. I sort of wish they were a little softer, but they are very very sensitive now which is a good thing. I also think they look great on the MPC.
Sometimes I still laugh out loud about the beat kangz and that time some English dude hacked the Akai marketing website and stole a bunch of pictures of the Ren before it was released.

yes, the black sheme is cool, did u need to get the korx to fill the gap between
pad n sensors, or does the fattys fit without?

Fatty's have the corx built in. have you taken the cover off your mpc before. there is a decent youtube video showing how its done. it's not hard but there are a lot of screws first time ya do it. good luck.
