My new (used), some HW problems?

I bought a used 1000 a few days ago and the window button as well as the left arrow and a few more are very unresponsive. It takes several presses sometimes.

Does this happen over time, or would it not happen on a well kept MPC? Im considering buying a brand new since this is really fun. Love using my somewhat unresponsive beast.

it's a very common issue with the tact switches on the mpc1000... best advice i can give [aside from replacing the tact switches] is to buy some DeOxit contact cleaner, open up your mpc and spray those tact switches... that should definitely bring them back to life until eventually having to replace them for good. there are plenty of threads on the topic... just do a search for tact switches in this section of the forum.

Your English is better than mine. Crossings is right. A can of deoxit should help with the problem. If not, the MPC is meant to be fixed, not retired. You show her some love, she'll show you some back.

Sort of starting to understand that now. Needed to hear from a few people that you have to take care of it sometimes. I'll be spending a lot of time hitting the thing, so I guess it's a fair deal...
