Hey!

I just bought a Microkorg XL, and i have a problem with it.
I record all my sounds in my mpc 1000 (bells, lead, bass and arp), and put them in a program, but when i put drums with them, the bass stops playing after the 3th bar.
sometimes the lead stops playing after the 6th, but not every time.
anyone knows what the problem is?
all my programs and sounds are poly.
i use JJ OS1 Version 4.99L

Tnx!

Edit:
Some more info:

The Microkorg XL sounds are going through jack cables to the MPC 1000 record in.
I record the sounds via tr57 (sounds), so i get a perfect recorded loop.
I put these loops in a program, so i can trigger them in a track, so we get:
1 program with (layered) drums (4 kick on 1 pad, 4 snares on 1 pad, and a hihat), and 1 program with my 4 recorded synthloops.
i recorded in 2 tracks, but that doesnt work.
I tried making 4 tracks to seperate the 4 recorded synthloops (1 program with the layered drums and 4 tracks for my 4 synths (still in one program)
Still no luck.

Edit Edit:

I just found out that if i give them each a audio track (57,58,59,60) it works, but i really wanna trigger them via a program.

Edit Edit Edit:
I gave them all a own program, and a own track, and that works to. but i really wanna trigger them for live performance.
Why ecsectly (im not english XD) doesnt that work?

Anyone knows what i did wrong, or if my workflow is wrong?

Edit Edit Edit Edit:
just pressed play after dinner, and the samples cutted off again.
I'm close to giving up, PLEASE HELP!

Edit Edit Edit Edit *sigh* Edit:
Been **** with this the whole evening, with no succes...
how do i re-install the JJOS? and i think i lost the JJOS1 code? is that bad?

So many questions!

Hey dude,

From what I can gather from your post you are more than likely maxing out the polyphony of the machine. (e.g using more than 32 voices at a time). Try converting your drum samples to MONO if they are currently STereo (each channel uses 1 voice)and any other samples you can afford to make mono.

You can view your voice count by going to MODE+OTHER (PAD10) and somewhere in there (I'm not infront of my MPC atm) you should be able to monitor how many voices your sequence is using whilst it is playing. If it is more than 32 then it will cut the samples off.

With the JJOS code, the code is not lost when you update or overwrite the OS. Once the OS has been activated in that particular MPC it doesn't need to be activated again.

Hope this helps! Cheers!
