Hi! I'm fairly new with the MPC1000 so there's probably a simple solution to this that I haven't considered so thanks in advance for your patience.
When I record a sequence on my MPC, despite the fact that the samples sound as I hit the pads and the data is retained (the events show up on the Step Edit screen, a connected synthesizer plays the notes corresponding to the pads and the black bar next to the sequence and track names flickers on and off corresponding to the information recorded) I cannot hear the samples that correspond to the recorded sequence when I hit play.
The Track Mute is not engaged, nor is the volume set to zero for the recorded track. None of the MIDI settings are affecting this either as far as I can tell - I tried toggling them on and off and setting the sequence to play to no effect.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions? This is driving me mental.
