it has a locking mechanism. You need to push the collar out that locks the ribbon in place. Get a small screwdriver and try and lever it gently on both sides so that the collar moves to the left and disengages the ribbon. It is a few millimeters wide but you should be able to see it as it is a bit wider than the rest of the plastic housing on PCB. good luck and it might help to search forums first before posting
