Hello I am currently recording finished songs from song mode into ableton live 6 via mbox fast track pro. With that being said. I do not get the best quality. I notice a lot of other peoples beats or music has a lot more punch and loudness. When I record into one track into ableton (finish beat in song mode from mpc) it peaks red in ableton if I turn it up to a desired volume. I do not multitrack into ableton due to the fact my ableton is a lite version and only allows 4 tracks. The last project I recorded I let it go red regardless in the track but in Master it was fine and not peaking and when played back neither the track or master peaks, Yet it still comes out a little muddy. Is there something in the mpc or ableton that can help me get better quality sound? My cables that run into the mbox are brand new and high grade. Here is a link to my last two beats I have recorded and maybe someone can give some insight into what I can do. http://soundcloud.com/dustindef/fresh-out-the-pack
p.s. I use the mpc's internal compressor and eq because it give a better quality.
