Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to set the tempo and metronome based on the already-existing tempo of a sample that I've uploaded. I've also heard that you can use a setting where you start tapping out a beat by hand and the MPC will automatically contour to that tempo so that the metronome is going based off the beat you independently starting tapping out.

I'm more interested in figuring out if the first option exists, as I'm having trouble figuring out what the tempo is to a sample that I want to use. Please let me know. Thank you.

Does it exist? Are you even looking at the 1000? Its a button called TAP TEMPO. Read the manual on how to use correctly.

I would tell you to throw the sample into a sequence and during OVERDUB, to adjust the BPM until the metronome clicks are in sync with the sample, but my ninja skills are too great for your mind to comprehend.
