Side panels replacement?

quick question how easy is it to replace the side panels of the mpc1000?, can't find any videos but case of a couple of screws?.

At the end of this video, Mike at mpcstuff.com explains how to remove the side panels on a mpc 1000.

If you never opened an MPC it's not hard at all, as the OP will see in the vid Tag posted.

I want to point at that in a lot of Mike's MPCStuff vids he does the most brilliant thing and keeps the separate screws in the compartments of a plastic ice cube tray. Obvious once you see it, but still brilliant. Remembering which screws are which is actually the hardest part of opening an MPC as there are 3 or 4 different sizes.

You don't even have to remove the faceplate, I believe.

It's just 2 screws per endcap, and they slide a bit, then pull off. (there's some little plastic hook/latch/tab bits inside)


Also, what I do when taking it apart, I doodled a rough sketch of all the faces of the MPC where there are screws, onto a piece of non-corrugated cardboard. I poked some holes at the locations of all the screws, so I just pop the screws into the right holes as I take it apart. I also put tape over each, so there's no chance of them falling out.
They've actually been out of my mpc for months. I took it apart to replace all the tact switches, and planned on doing the silicone pad fix, but never got around to it or replacing all the screws...
