Hi all,
Sorry for a noob question here.
I use the MPC mainly to provide drum tracks and midi sequence a varity of about 6 hardware synths and romplers, all going into an analgoue board. I have Reaper but haven't really used it for anything yet. Back in the day (Atari 1040 running Cubase!) I used to record using a minidisc multitracker which I could plum into the midi chain so I could sync and record new tracks.
Currently I have no multitrack recording facility and I want to fix this so was inititally looking at a few hardware digital multitrackers that have midi in/out. However, would it be better (and cheaper) to get a decent midi interface with multiple line inputs that I could then use with Reaper or another DAW? Can I then record a number of tracks sequenced from the MPC (say drums and bass) and then use the MPC to MIDI sequence playback of those tracks within the DAW whilst recording additional tracks so they are properly sync'd? If so, can anyone recommend decent options for the interface? Low end...
And apologies If I am being a complete spaz, missing the obvious and asking stupid questions.
Cheers
