OK Maybe chill there and reread what the others said. Did you try the correct button for screen contrast? which one did you use? I ask because you are probably not aware that it is a different button. USe stop button!
Flash ROM is where the OS is anyways, not hard drive. that just stores it.
It does not boot from hard drive. Have you tried a CF card?
Use akai OS on CF card and try reset. as shown above from one of our other users.
Did you boot holding down TAP TEMPO button?
Then wait for a minute for it to boot then use stop button and jog wheel at same time to change screen contrast. If nothing, then factory reset.
get both akai os and jjos on CF card. remove hard drive to. If this still no good its time to open her up and look at the cables.
