i dont have a pc.
the interessting thing on sampling cds are the looped sample synths and the programs.
also the drum kits are a good source for new kits. (filter/resample/rearange).
i never ever let the stuff like the original.

at typo: i doesnt search for uploads and i dont download "irregular" stuff from the net.
maybe the reason is i dont know a proper protected search engine.

If it's an ISO of CD's you actually have, while technically a "grey" area, it's close enough to any fair usage rights that get upheld in favor of consumers like ripping your own CD to your iPod.

Courts have ruled in favor of that being fair usage more than once, labels gave up on that line of trying to set draconian precedents. They hoped they could force you to buy CD's+protected MP3's. Courts I'm sure looked at the fact the CD-r/ripping technology went back to Sony, and in a few of the cases it was Sony's record labels bringing the suits. Judges found it frivolous and duplicitous and dismissed the cases.
