Hello All,

I'm new here but not to forums. Also this is my first MPC1000 but I have been using hardware for over 10 years. (I just wanted to make that clear because I want to get the point across that I have done major troubleshooting before I made this post.) Here is my problem.

I can NOT get the 'B' midi in/out to work on my MPC1000 (black). I bought it secondhand and recently installed the latest (pay for) version of JJOS (3.27). The 'A' midi in/out works perfectly. I have done trouble shooting to midi cables, synths, and all settings internal on the MPC1000. I sat down with a friend with the same make MPC1000 running the same JJOS version and set the 'midi/sync' options to exactly the same as his but still nothing from the 'B' midi in/out. I switched the midi cable that worked perfectly in 'A' midi in/out directly into 'B' so I know its not the midi cable. I tried also two separate synths and a xoxbox that worked perfectly with the 'A' midi in/out by switching them over to the 'B' in/out withe same midi cable and still get nothing from the 'B' misi in/out side. :( I have also (as mentioned above) tried the midi/sync settings that are supposed to work as well as tried all other combinations. I think the MPC1000 midi card might be broken.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am seriously considering buying and replacing a new midi card for my MPC1000. I'm just hoping either someone had this problem and fixed it or if anyone agrees that replacing the midi card is my best next option.

Thank you kindly,

Scott

Hey All,

Its fixed for now. As a last resort I opened up the MPC1000 and pushed down on all the connections to the midi board just to make sure they were in all the way. It didn't seem to do anything but as soon as I put the bottom panel back on and plug in the midi cable to the 'B' midi out/in it triggered my xoxbox straight away. So anyway, it seems to be working fine for now. Fingers crossed, problem solved.
