QUESTIONS RE: EFFECTS

hey! first off, are there effects i can assign to pads on my mpc 1000, all i have tampered with are the low pass and hi pass filters which are hand. but i want phasers and delays etc...


second question. when i adjust something such as pitch or filter or even the mono/poly settings is there a way i can adjust all 16pads at once? cuz ive been doing them each individually and its getting very tedious lol.

Yes, there are effects on the 1000. Look at the pads, one should say EFFECTS. Hold MODE and hit that pad. The 1000 only has two effect processors, so you can have two effects at the sametime for each assigned pad. Or you can have one effect. There's phaser, bit crusher, reverb, EQ, ring mod and a couple more.

I think JJOS has Global editing that tweaks all pads at once. Read up on it at the JJ forums here, I think it explains it in detail. Also, check his site for specs and features.

JJOS2XL has some multiple pad editing features (selecting all or selecting a range), but also a very useful feature in Program mode: if you're selected on a pad, and you hit another pad while holding UNDO, the currently highlighted parameter will be copied to the second pad. If you're selected on the pad name itself, it copies the entire pad settings. Super useful, it takes no time to copy settings across a whole bank.

I've learned mode/pad11 allows you to adjust tune, filter, fx etc as a whole if anyone else is wondering.
