Odd pad issue

Been getting to know my mpc 1000 I recently got second hand and I'm having a strange issue.

One of the pads in bank A is quieter than the others no matter what sample is loaded into it... but if I switch to bank B the same pad plays at the level it should.

I've checked the mode/option pad settings and everything is as it should be.

It's a 1000-bk with the newer style sensors. Was thinking I'd get new sensors but it seems weird that a pad would work in one bank and not another if the sensor was bad. Any ideas?

Yeah. Any sample I put into pad 4, bank A sounds quiet but any sample I put into pad 4, bank B plays fine.

I could just use bank B as a workaround but I'd rather fix whatever the issue is if possible.

I got it. Must have been an issue within the program. Switched to a different program and it's fine. I'll figure out whatever it is I did to make that happen.

hmm i may be wrong but i think that is actually a bug

are you running the latest greatest?

Fortunately not in my case. Turns out that the level of that pad was turned way down in the mixer for that particular program.
