Dear MPC FORUM,
I purchased my MPC1000 from guitar center used online and have had it a few years now. I installed the 128mb RAM which is says I did correctly when I turn it on. It's a black model but doesn't have the replacement pad system as far as I can tell and I'm using the factory akai OS. My problem is often during playback the audio just completely drops out and I don't know what to do about it. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm using the factory samples or my own samples loaded from the memory card. It happens when I'm just jamming with the pads and also when I'm playing back a sequence. I've tried taking the RAM out and putting it back it, which maybe seems to help for a little bit but I can't really tell because the problem is so sporadic. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it, thank you!
