i just returned from a trip where i had packed my mpc along for a quick recording session. anyways it worked fine the weekend i was there and now that ive got back home and plugged my mpc in i have a loud fuzz that is coming from the left channel on the stereo outputs as well as the headphones. the fuzz is also barely audible on the right channel.

does the mpc have a seperate sound board or something that would be easy to identify and check for cracks or a cable being loose? the last time i was under the hood was when i installed a pad upgrade kit and i havent had major problems again until now.

ok i figured id update for anyone like me that takes your mpc with you on trips and frequently toss your 1k in a backpack for cross town impromtu recording seshes that may have a similar problem in the future so maybe this would be helpful.

i took the front and back panels off and started looking for loose ribbons or connectors and spotted what ended up being the problem:

this ribbon attaches as you can see to the right of the main volume knob. after i plugged it back in my problem went away.

I just had the same problem! No sound from the left channelcame out from the headphone out or the main out.

I took of the faceplate and, even tho it was not as visible as for narquatics, the connection/ribbon behind the main volume was loose. After making sure it was closely connected and screwing everything together it worked as it should!
