Can you disable follow in Drum edit mode?

Hi all,

Is there a way when in Program drum edit mode and triggering a pattern from computer, to stop the mpc from auto following the midi notes it is receiving. Thus allowing my to edit the kits envelopes and filters on the fly?

Been through all options and tried a number on key combinations. Closest I have got is by holding down the tap tempo, which does stop the auto follow, but that copies the setting from above/below.

Or is the only option to press stop adjust and then resume play?

I'm on OS2XL 3.45
