MPC 1000 + MPC 3000 Midi Sync?

#1. Explain where the midi cables go in detail to sync them up

#2. Explain how the settings within the MPC are supposed to be set i order to use them both simultaneously.

What I'm trying to is be able to use both units simultaneously.
