Loading a sample to a pad-JJos2-

Schoolboy i know but I've tried everything and read other posts and can't figure it out. Its worked before but now its not!?!?! I've pressed mode, load, found the sample, clicked do it on the noise said yes to assign to pad. Then I go back to main and the pad is still empty. What am i doing wrong?

Have you made sure the program is selected in PROGRAM mode first?

mmm yup, you have to at least select program on main screen, than both sequence and program will become active to work with.
