For some reason I can't get my MPC to play nice with Logic and I can't work out why.

The way I like to work is to set up a program on the MPC and play the pads to send MIDI into Logic, then send the MIDI back to the MPC so Logic can play it.
Basically so I can edit the MIDI part in Logic but change the program on the MPC.

For some reason now, it's recording the part into Logic with no problems but it won't play it back.

When I check the MIDI monitor in the MPC it shows its receiving MIDI but it's only getting a message for 'song position pointer' at the beginning of the Logic part it’s not showing as receiving any of the notes.

Here’s how it’s currently set up.

Logic sending MIDI Clock to 'All' [I’ve also tried setting it to just use the channel the MPC is on]
Logic sending MMC
Logic MIDI clock on internal.
MPC set up as ‘slave’ on MIDI clock mode
MPC receiving MMC.

Previously this has always worked but I always used to forget to save the MIDI settings in my template project so every time I used the MPC I had to set it up again. This time when I set it up it didn’t work.

Can anyone tell me what I’ve missed or what I may need to look at?

I'm on JJOS 2XL by the way
