mpc 1000 arrow buttons stop working..

wondering if anyone soddered the new tact switches into the mpc 1000?...i have parts on the way just curious how easy it was and if anyone had any problems.. ive seen videos. just curious ! on experience

cut de solder.. new switches all 4.. then re solder..works like new!

You're not supposed to cut solder, you're supposed to desolder it unless you want to wreck the solder pads.

Yes ! desoldering is the tricky part. Take your time, a desoldering braid AND a desoldering pump.
Be careful not to burn the board, and your soldering iron shouldn't output more than 25-30 watts.
Not that difficult but might take some time.
