I found out how to update os while in boot mode. Found that information out here: http://www.mpc-tutor.com/mpc-operating-systems/
I powered up the mpc while holding down "window". When asked if I wanted to rewrite os I clicked "rec".
Not sure why the jjos site was explaining the contrary.

I followed everything from this link: http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/
For some reason when I hit "do it" to load the os, there is no response. However if I can load samples so what is the issue here? What am I doing wrong?
