Is there a button to input rests in the sequencer? Jj2xl

Been tearing my hair out trying to find this out. Using the midi step sequencer, I want input rests on certain steps rather than having to turn the data wheel to the next point of play. Is it possible? Couldn't see anything in the manual, and googling 'rests mpc' has been an exercise in frustration

i think shift + bar (<< >>) moves cousor by TC increment
