My pads are not playing programs!?

So I can't play programs on my MPC 1000. I don't believe it's the pads themselves, as in trim mode, samples will play fine. It's only when I'm in track mode and trying to play pads from a program that they're not working. Does anyone know what could've happened??? Some setting, perhaps? Thanks!!!

1 - Make sure the track you are using is set to 'DRUM' & the correct program is assigned to it.

2 - Check the output settings on the last page of the program menu (F6 on JJOS, not sure about Akai OS) & make sure the samples you're using are set to the output channels you are using, ST usually if you're not using the additional mono outs yet.

Sure some of the JJOS versions have a 'pad to internal sounds' setting which needs to be enabled to trigger samples.
