Allright, heres the deal... I just got myself a DIGI001,a nd neve rhad a recorder before just had all my outs on my MPC connected to my Yamaha MG16 mixer... NOw since i have the DIGI how would I go about connting these all?? Do I just keep my MPC connected to teh yamaha and when im ready to master I dissconect and put them in the digi? Or do I even really need my mixer anymore? Could someone with a similar setup help me. Im a lil confused on how this should all work out, cuz im trying to avoid going back and forth dissconecting stuff and etc... thanks

You sound excited......how about calm down a sec and think about sensibly and logically.

What exactly do you want to achieve?

I'm sure the DIGI001 acts as a Mixer also as well as a HDD Recorder.
You might not need the Yamaha no more.
anyway if u really want to use both plug everything into the mixer, and use the output buses to send to the DIGI as and when u need to.

You dont need the mixer anymore, the DIGI 001 will serve the same purpose as the yamaha. You will just be routing the signal to another source if you use the board.

I have a digi002 and not am a really be fan of Protools ( i run 6.7 on a G5) I found that Cubase SX running to a Presonus Firepod works PIMP. I think with the Digi's people buy them cuz of the Protools name.

The 002 are only good if you are going to intergrate it with the higher TDM systems. Oh ya they look cool to.. since you got a digi 001 I assume you are running 6.4 and you will need plugins.. Do a search for 'emule' you can download tons of plugins from here (for educational purposes of course)..

Good luck
