Hi, I was just wondering you guys do to filter out bass without having the sample sound flat. sometimes eq can hepl but it usually looses a lot of the the low mids that I still want to keep so it will sound full. weird question but thanks for any sugestions.

if i just want bass, i turn the freq real low and the res high, set the 2nd filter to LINK, and then on the 4 band eq i set the gain 10-12 and the other setting(don't remember its name right now) to 20-24. not sure if thats what you are looking for but that usually gives me a good sounding bassline. give it a shot

peace

pad-ophiliac, that sounds good.

it's a damn shame thou only having 2 fx slots. i usually use fx1 for kick
compressor and fx2 for snare compressor.
there's resample yeah, but a: the resampled version is always half or
less of the volume it used to be and somehow normalizing doesen't
affect it (different thing on the comp of course) and b: if you have the
sample cued up well, you have to find the start point again since it always
leaves a small space before the sample.

more slots on the os update, now that'd be just too great.

i always wished they had an APPLY button for the fx. so say you put reverb on a snare, you hit apply and it will resample the snare with the same start point and the effect on it. then you could choose to either have it overwrite the original or make a new copy.

you can set record to start once a certain volume is passed, so that would at least kinda keep the same same start point. but then renaming the file, saving it, and adding it to the program is not worth all the trouble to just be able to use some mediocre ass effects.

i just use the fx on my computer at this point.
peace.

now that would be just great, eventhou i'd be fully satisified with 10 fx
slots and multiple effects at the same slot.

so the threshold works? i have it set on -48 and it always puts the space
before it. i press record, then it displays the "waiting for the input signal"
and i hit the pad. then i go to trim and theres the space again.
frustrating, i think that's right word for that resample process.
