yooooo
WARNING!: make sure you change the fuse to a 5A one in whatever lead you use. Otherwise you might have a nasty lil prob if you have any surges etc.#

I just used an old lead from a pc (and changed the fuse obviously)

theyre selling them for 1000 US$ at the moment with the extra 128MB RAM card + free international shipping at the moment...
so that makes the price difference a little more substantial...

in that manual its says that its 5amp device, the 13amp fuse allows 8 more amps through than safe if there is a surge or something.

I wouldnt' buy from the US personally. I was nearly tempted to get a Rane Empath DJ Mixer from an american site as it was half the price of the UK RRP.

However, i did my research and found that there were a lot of horror stories with importing from the US. On many occasions the units were broken when they got there but the worst fact is that they were hit with import charges, VAT and handling fees at the airport. This meant that people were paying only slightly less, the same as or sometimes more than the UK price but had no warranty and aftercare sales to show for it.

Also, damaged units had to be returned to the US so more fees for shipping it back and a long ass wait!

I decided to just go with a Pioneer DJM707 in the end for £300 and i'm glad i did.

But if anyone does decide to import, make sure to let us know how it went. You may be one of the lucky ones!
