i use decay on the slider and, with the after key on record changes of decay on my hi hat track. It gives the hi hat a more organic sound. Also i like to tie a rubber band from one slider knob to the next and play like a chimpanzee.

Hey, just to check i havent got a dodgy mpc, can you apply two sliders at the same time to the same pad???
I've tried using tune and decay on a bass sound and it doesnt work?!
also tried putting both attack and decay on the same sound and still no joy...
anyone else found this?

you have to set a filter for the pad (its in the program screen)
set it to low pass/band pass/high pass and whatever settings and you should be straight.

peace.
