Hey!!

OK, now I know that w/ 128MB RAM, sampling @ 44.1k, 16-bits, Stereo, you get about 12 min, some-odd seconds......

What would the sample length be @ 44.1k, 16-bit, Stereo with 32MB of RAM??

Sorry if this seems to be a stupid question!

Thanks!

you do realize if you sample in mono in get double the sample time.
All the info you need to know is on the Akia pro website. read the specifications section.

i don't take any credit for this but i don't remember who posted it originally. who ever it was, you're the sh*t. your turn table has a red and a white rca. plug one in the right channel of your dj mixer and the other in the left. turn up the volume and eq both channels. then on the mpc choose monoR or monoL in record mode. now you get 24m28s of stereo quality sound. note that for editing purposes you wouldn't be able to seperate a left and a right at that point but who gives a sh*t, now i can fit twice as many samples on the same card. i'm glad i hadn't sampled too many albums before i realized this b/c i erased them all and started over due to the space i will save.

peace

oh, i remember another trick now. back in the day we used to speed the record up on the turntable and sample it then slow the sample back to normal in the sampler to save memory. god i used to want a mpc, and now u can buy one for $750 new. these kids r so spoiled nowaday's.
