ehyo was wondering if there's any advice out there...

i've got a midi interface (UNO), cubase le and my 1k... the vst options in cubase le are pretty limited but i'd like to check em' out anyway...

i've tried several, several times to use my 1k as a controller for the VST's but am having mad difficulties... not sure what else i can do... can't find anything previously posted that's specific to vst's...

any help would be much appreciated and an exact description would obviously be even better... i'm basically just trying to play the vst instruments in cubase with the pads on my 1k...

THANKS fam,

its the same as connecting a keyboard tro the mpc via midi.
the mpc has to have the midi channels set up and the program off and set to MIDI. cubase would need to be set up the usual way to accept midi signals.

yeah for sure man i tried all that... turned program off, midi on, selected a channel, connected my midi uno interface to my computer, and in cubase i set up a vst instrument and all that and i could see that on my uno, when i was pressing the pads on my 1k, this little light would flash on everytime i hit a pad, but still no sounds coming through my speakers...

i even hooked up a tutorial which walked me through what i was trying to do and still no sounds...

anybody know how to set things up in cubase properly... when i go to device setup, there's no mpc options at all, but there are loads of korg, roland and other options... i'm wondering if this has anything to do with it... even when i try to use the 'universal sound module' option where you can hook up any midi controller to all these vst instruments it still won't play any sounds...

suggestions are all welcome...

In cubase your "IN" has to be whatever you want to trigger the VST's...probably your MIDI uno, the "OUT" has to be whatever the VST's rack is..for my version of Cubase it's like a1 or something (The one I use the most)...not sure but you may need a mixer to hear it if your monitors are connected to only your MPC.
