footswitch latency

i just hooked up a footswitch that I had laying around. Its pretty cool, bbbbbbut when i set it to a pad it seems like there is some kind of latentcy. Has any else experience this?

I 'd got 2 footswitchs (roland FS) one is ok , but the second seems to have lantency too .... don't know why .....

i dont think its latency, thats normal for a footswitch i recently found out because it transmits the signal when u release your foot. An expression pedal i think would work better but i dont have one to try. But the footswitch and expression pedal operate different from what i've seen.
