Just let me know... I'd like to add that warm feelin on my beats. Just got my 1k, and i don't know if MFC42 is like MPC 1k "compatible"...

Might sound stupid... but f*** it... its free to ask.

Yeah you can run any sound source through it, but you can't get the bolt on kit like you can for the 2kxl.

Sherman filterbank, Electrix filterfactory, frostwave resonator to name a few. Google audio filter for more options.

Be sure to know what you are looking for in a filter. The MFC is regarded as being a very nice but 'clean' filter - the output sounds very much like the input sound, but filtered.

The mentioned Sherman and FrostWare are very much dirtier - they add character to the sound. I prefer a dirtier filter as I like to have the audio coloured by the filter.

You can also try and search this archive for MFC as this question comes up regularly..

Good luck..

Tell me about it. My FilterQueen only sounds good if overdrive the input through the mixer or, even better, distortion pedals.

I found Sherman Filterbank 2 from where i usually get my gear. I guess it would suit my needs but it's just too expensive.
Gotta give time for this thing and think about it....
