Converting to wave

I just bout an mpc 1k and was wondering how to convert songs to wav for my comp. A friend told me to go to a studio and drop each track to eq them...I know there must be a easier way to get a similar result.

This is in your 1k manual, please read it. But, in short, yes you can.
Read up on the details of it. Your friend, don't listen to them. You don't need a studio for what you are trying to do. All you need is your song in the 1k and big enough CF card, USB is already there so you can drag and drop onto pc/mac when you finish.

If you got enough memory you can just record it to the main outs and it'll just save your song as a sample (WAV) file...just look in the manual, I aint even saying to read the manual, just look in the index for whatever it is you wish to do, and most likely you can find it.
