Before someone flames you!!

Midi is way of triggering sounds what already exist in a keyboard, rack, sampler etc. you can use the MPC to trigger the sounds in the keyboard though to hear them sounds the keyboard would need some means of playing out its sound EG a mixer connected to a amp with speakers etc

no MIDI does not carry a AUDIO signal. never had never will.

if u want u can send the audio signal of they keyboard to the audio in of the mpc as a sample and then manipulate it that way.

OR

use MIDI the way it is meant to be used.

this, plug the Keyboard MIDI OUT -> MPC IN 1
thn plug MPC OUT A -> Keyboard IN

This will allow you to record the triggered signal and also play it back.

So what happens is, when u press record on the MPC then either play on the Keyboard the MPC will also record the triggered events. so when u press play it will play what u played.

sorry to give you the long answer but it seemed that u have no idea about MIDI. also you have to set the channel of the MPC 1A ansd so forth for each instrument u want to use on the keybaord. making sure that the keyboard is also on the same channel.

now you could have read the manual for it explains this for you .

Wow!! you really just starting out arnt u?

ok i suggest going to a music store and asking for a demonstration of how to hook up this stuff or...

purchase a small 6-8 channel mixer a amplifier and connect your speakers to the amp, then the mixer to the amp with the relevant leads.

then connect the audio from the keyboard and the mpc to the mixer.

just out of curiosity, how do u hear you MPC at the moment?

yes it will. though i suggest if your on a budget, get a DJ mixer and connect both ya keybaord and mpc to this. then plug the out of the dj mixer to the speakers or to a house stereo or suttin.

i finally got it working guys theres only one problem tho when i play a sound on a new program created and record it first step i do that on track 1a midi. then i try to go over it with a different sound from the keyboard and i guess i have to put that on track 2a, but when i switch it from the sound i played the first melody with to the new one. the stuff i recorded would playback with the sound i just switched on the keyboard to do the second sound over it. please help me on how can i get diferent sounds on different midi tracks with out having the keyboard change the first one with the new sound i picked.

you also have to set the sounds to track 1a 2a as well on the keyboard.
