track order

can someone better explain page 29 in the manual for me. i tried to convert some seqs into a song last night and my shit turned up all wack. do i have to have the same sounds on the same tracks in each seq? i usually use one sound per pad and one pad per track, even my chopped up samples, i will use each chop on a seperate track. maybe i'm doing this wrong but i just figured it would make it easier for editing in the future. page 29 says you need to arrange the tracks but doesn't really say how you need to arrange them. any help is much appreciated. i ended up erasing everything after pulling all my hair out.

wow i'm getting good at solving my own problems this one was easy thogh. i think i had different programs assigned to the same track in diff sequences. when i went to convert to a song it confused the 1k. i knew it was me and not this beast.
