You folks think there's any chance of one being implemented for the 1K?
That would be spanking. Is it already available with the 2k or 2kxl?

Seems to me that Akai should include this on the 1K considering its main use is supposed to be a drum sampler/sequencer.

Cheers

honestly i almost hope not....i spent most my production years programming drums on a grid editor via computer and i liked moving away from it....a lot....plus the screen is too small for it, i'd say - just as it's too small to really do any wav editing

well it's not really the mpc concept, the mpcs have always been about bashing the pads in real time record then fiddling with the swing to get things rocking ... or funking, or jazzing, or hip-hoping etc would be interesting to know if any 4k users use it

this is exactly wat alway's made the mpc a real instrument, now it's like a groovebox. just my opinion but i hope my 1k lasts a very long time because i aint gonna upgrade to the supercomputers. $$$$ that!!!

darn, i did'nt mean to dis a mpc, i should be stoned- sorry. a grid editor is were you just plunk in notes without any real playing going on. check out a groovebox and youll figure it out.

It's basically the same as how you would program beats on Fruity Loops.

Just thought it could come in handy for editing purposes instead of the frickin' way you have to insert a new hit and delete the old one if you wanna move a sound for'wd or back a few clicks. How easier would it be if you could just change the time code of a hit. or nudge it with a GRID EDITOR. Anyone used it on the 4k??

Cheers

I couldn't have said it better myself. F*ck looking at dots or blocks on a screen, that's why I stopped using logic and got an MPC!!!! Use your EARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If someone needs to program fast beats just program it how you want it at a slower tempo then speed it up.
