WAV or SMP?

i got some sample sounds online and some are in .WAV formant as others are in .SMP (AU Format Sound). Are both types of files compatible with the 1000? Thanks ya'll

What does the manual tell you about samples that the 1k accepts?

i actually bought mpc off a friend and he lost the manual! But i went to www.akaipro.com and DL the manual online, so thanks anyway!
