Using the high pass filter on any drum sound will give you good results, especially the kick. I also combine it with a low pass filter, I like my drums to sound warm. 8)

By the way, I heard the E-MU rack samplers have the best filters around.

Hi

"By the way, I heard the E-MU rack samplers have the best filters around."

This is largely historical. For many years the Emu digital filters where very highly regarded amongst digital samplers. They are still good sounding filters but they are no longer alone. I owned a E5000Ultra for many years before going over to software for sampling. I certainly would not buy one of the digital filter Emu sampler for the filters alone, however, I am looking out for a Emax (12bit analogue filter) to replace the sound of my recently sold SP12Turbo..

then i can do filter sweeps on the sound (or even have a pattern of filter envelopes etc.)

mpc is good for combining with other gear this way, since the options are kind of bare by itself.

i think the mpc filters sound good though as far as static filters go.

Hey, ar you on the elektron users forum? I'm about to start doing the same from having picked it up there! Btw.. I copped a used SFX6 MnM today!!

yep i am, i only post guest there though, i find that forum kind of clique-y with elektron fanboys who won't hear of anything negative ;)

monomachine, yum, i wonder if ill ever get one of those. Still trying to decide whether to spend my next $$ on UW upgrade or something else.

ps. do u ever get annoyed with Elektron's marketing tactix, like ''oo its limited time must act now... wait now there's 3 more available... ok wait we found a couple more.. act fast... "

especially with the sidstation they should make an edition called the 'extrasuperfinalnoreallywemeanitthistime" edition :p .

yeah they've played that sh!t out for sure. I just want them to run out of chips so my sidstation will increase in value. 'cos i'm gonna have to sell it sooner or later anyhow.
